abstract

Observations show the influence of several factors on beaver biotope preferences, among them soil-hydrological ones (features of bank, stream rate, depths and width of reservoir) are the leading. Physical and geographical conditions of North-Eastern Ukraine define determined peculiarities on build activity of beavers in the reclaimed reservoirs. Peculiarities of different types of animal buildings in riverbed and reclaimed channels are analyzed. Beaver dams are marked in the both main and drained channels. Using by beavers defined channel area and choice of cover place depends on depth and range of changing water level but does not depend on stream rate.
