abstract

The Nature Museum of the Scientific Society is one of the first Ukrainian museums in Lviv, the creation of which was discussed in 1893. Despite the cessation of activity due to the war and insufficient funding, the museum resumed its work and the collections were replenished with zoopaleontological and zoological exhibits donated by scientists. Brief information about them is presented in the article. Only during the Second World War, the Scientific Society named after Shevchenko was disbanded, and the exhibits were distributed among the new museums of Lviv.
