abstract

This research is based on the results of studies conducted in 2021–2024. It has been shown that five micromammal species belonging to three families and two orders were recorded within the arboretum of the Botanical Garden of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. The species composition is characterised by the dominance of rodent species along with the presence of small insectivorans. The most common species, Apodemus agrarius and Myodes glareolus, are frequently encountered under the canopy of plantations and along forest edges. The structure of the micromammal fauna of the arboretum reflects an ecological connection with adjacent natural areas of the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park and indicates the relatively low degree of isolation of the studied area. The findings provide a foundation for further biodiversity monitoring and developing conservation strategies.
