Registration and study of animals that lead a hidden lifestyle is a difficult task, the success of solution of which depends on many factors. That is why the use of camera traps belongs to those methods that have recently been increasingly used to study these species. Information on the creation (design and making) of camera traps, which were tested and used in the wood-buch thickets of the Lower Dnieper in 1999–2000 is given in this article. The main principles of using such equipment, which are actual to present time, are described. |
